Clients drive themselves to Umbhaba Eco Lodge, located in Hazyview, known as the Gateway to the Kruger National Park. After arrival and check-in, there is time to relax at the pool, enjoy the large gardens and water features, and have a drink at the bar before dinner. Clients stay in superior rooms, each with its own private balcony offering spectacular views.
Mpumalanga, meaning the “Place of the Rising Sun,” is the first province in South Africa to see the sunrise. The best Kruger Park safaris start before sunrise, taking advantage of the early morning hours when wildlife is most active. We enter the park through a nearby gate and travel to areas renowned for exceptional wildlife sightings. After about three hours, your guide will stop for breakfast, and delicious breakfast packs will be provided by the lodge. After breakfast, the safari continues.
The Kruger is home to various eco-zones, each a habitat for different types of wildlife. During our safari, we visit rivers, watering holes, plains, and bushveld regions, all teeming with wildlife. This magnificent park is world-famous for its populations of lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos, and you have a great chance of seeing them all.
Around noon, your guide will stop for lunch at one of the rest camps. Lunch is on your own account, and there will be time for some curio shopping.
We then head back towards the lodge, arriving at around 16:00 pm after an exciting day in Africa’s leading National Park. Back at the lodge, there is time to swim and relax before dinner is served.
Breakfast will be served at the lodge, and afterward, clients will depart for their next destination. Check-out time is 11:00 am.
