After arriving in Hazyview, and checking into the lodge, you’ll have time to settle into your room, explore the facilities, and have a light lunch, before we set out on your first game drive.
At around 15:45 pm, we leave the lodge for an evening safari during which you have the unique opportunity to see all kinds of nocturnal animals. During the winter months, the early sunset allows for an extended night-time experience, while summer game drives will treat you to the most spectacular sunset views.
We return to the lodge at approximately 20:00 pm, where a delicious dinner awaits, followed by a well-deserved night’s rest after an exciting day.

Just as the sun crests the distant horizon, with the smell of early morning coffee encouraging you to get going, you’ll climb aboard the safari vehicle and your guide will drive you into the park for the first of two full day game drives. The early morning start is ideal for spotting some of the parks most intriguing inhabitants including predators.
Your guide knows the best areas in the Southern Kruger to look for animals and although sightings have a lot to do with luck, driving through this wildlife abundant area always delivers something exciting.
After about three hours of exploring the park, we’ll stop for breakfast, which will be a takeaway pack from the lodge.
It’s the perfect moment to stretch your legs, use the restroom, and warm up with a freshly brewed coffee. From there, the adventure continues as we move through the Kruger’s unique landscapes, which include river edges, watering holes, sweeping plains, and quintessential Bushveld terrain, each of which are habitats for various animals.
Around midday, we stop at a rest camp for lunch. The rest camps have a wide range of meals available and while in the camp, you can browse the curio shop, or cool off with an ice-cold drink.
After lunch, we continue the safari journey, gradually making our way back to the lodge and arriving between 15:30 pm and 16:00 pm. This gives you ample time to relax, enjoy a swim, and wind down before dinner.

Breakfast & Dinner (lunch not included)
The morning starts bright and early with another game drive. Your guide knows the park like the back of their hand and will drive routes that are well-known for wildlife sightings.
After about three hours we’ll stop at a rest camp or picnic site to stretch your legs, grab a hot coffee (or tea!), and enjoy the packed breakfast from the lodge.
Then it’s back into the vehicle to explore a completely different part of the Kruger. Because the park is so enormous, every route we take will have something new for you to see.
Around midday we’ll roll into one of the rest camps for lunch. You can choose whatever you’re in the mood for, camps usually have a variety of meals available, and there’s usually time for a bit of souvenir shopping.
We normally start heading back towards the lodge in the early afternoon, getting you back to your room between 15:30 and 16:00 pm. That leaves the rest of the day free to kick back by the pool, enjoy a sundowner, and swap stories over another delicious dinner.
