Begin the day with a hearty hot breakfast at the lodge at 7:00 AM, followed by departure at 8:00 AM in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. Today’s tour explores some of the most iconic attractions on the world-famous Panorama Route in the Northern Drakensberg Mountains.
Key Highlights of the Panorama Tour:
God’s Window: A breathtaking viewpoint with a 1,000-meter drop to the lowlands below. On clear days, the views stretch across Kruger National Park and beyond. The walk to the top takes 15–20 minutes, passing through a lush African rainforest, making it a scenic and invigorating hike.
Bourke’s Luck Potholes: Marvel at this fascinating natural rock formation created by centuries of water erosion at the confluence of the Treur and Blyde Rivers. Guests can walk across small bridges to view the swirling water below, admire small waterfalls, and learn about the area’s history.
Blyde River Canyon: One of the world’s largest canyons, stretching over 40 km and reaching depths of up to 1,200 meters. It boasts diverse vegetation, winding rivers, and serene dams. From a scenic lookout, you’ll also see the famous Three Rondavels, three towering rock formations resembling traditional African huts.
Lisbon Waterfalls: A stunning year-round waterfall with a steady, powerful flow.
After a morning of exploring, the group will stop for lunch in the quaint mountain town of Graskop, known for its delicious pancakes. Guests will have time to browse locally owned shops, enjoy a leisurely lunch, and soak in the town’s charm.
The tour concludes with a return to the lodge by approximately 4:00 PM. There will be time to relax with a drink or take a refreshing dip in the pool before sitting down to a satisfying dinner.
(Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Included)
The day begins with an early departure before sunrise for another exciting morning safari. The cool early hours provide the best opportunity to spot active predators like lions and hyenas. Your guide will explore new regions of the park and focus on finding wildlife that may not have been seen during previous safaris. With 148 mammal species and over 500 bird species, each game drive offers something unique, ensuring no two safaris are ever the same.
Kruger National Park’s extensive road network allows our experienced guides to tailor routes based on the season, maximizing your chances of seeing the park’s diverse wilderness, wildlife, and vegetation.
We return to the lodge at approximately 11:00 AM, where the rest of the day is yours to relax and unwind.
