Day 2: Hop-On-Hop-Off Adventure & Table Mountain Views

Unguided – Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus & Cable Car Pass Included

Wake up refreshed and ready to explore more of Cape Town on your own terms. Start with breakfast at the hotel, then use your included open-top bus pass and Table Mountain cableway ticket to explore the city’s top attractions.

Hop aboard the red sightseeing bus and choose from multiple scenic routes:

  • The blue line passes leafy suburbs on the way to the stunning Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
  • The purple line travels through Constantia, the oldest wine-producing region in the country.
  • The red line winds past beaches like Camps Bay and continues to the base of the iconic Table Mountain.

If the weather is clear, a ride up the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway is a must. From the top, you’ll get panoramic views of the city, ocean, and beyond. Stroll along nature trails, grab a bite at the café, and enjoy the moment; you might even be treated to a spontaneous song from your cable car guide on the ride down.

By nightfall, treat yourself to Cape Town’s culinary delights. From bold African-inspired flavours to seafood feasts and trendy tapas spots, the city has something for every palate.

Overnight Stay: Garden Court Victoria Junction or similar (4-star)

Day 3: Full-Day Cape Winelands Experience

Guided – Approx. 8 hrs / ±150 km
(Note: A similar tour may be substituted based on availability)

Today, it’s all about wine, views, and flavour as you head into the scenic Cape Winelands to explore the old towns of Franschhoek and Stellenbosch on a small group guided tour.

You’ll visit a minimum of three top-rated estates such as Dieu Donné, Simonsig, Mitre’s Edge, Middelvlei, and Vergenoeg, depending on the day of your tour.

  • Mondays & Tuesdays:
Begin in Franschhoek, a historic valley with a French flair and boutique wineries. Enjoy tastings at two estates, a relaxed stroll through town with your guide, and lunch at a local eatery. The day ends in Stellenbosch with a cosy tasting experience that includes chocolate and cheese pairings at a winemaker’s home.
  • Wednesdays to Sundays:
The focus shifts to Stellenbosch. Dive into its winemaking traditions with guided walks, cellar tours, and vineyard experiences — with possible barrel tastings during harvest season. After a hearty lunch paired with wines, your final stop is another estate offering a delicious mix of wine, chocolate, and cheese to cap off your day.

With over 15 wines sampled, beautiful scenery, and local delicacies along the way, you’ll return to Cape Town by early evening with new flavours and memories to take home.

Overnight Stay: Garden Court Victoria Junction or similar (4-star)

Day 4: Cape Point Discovery – Full-Day Guided Excursion

Travel Time: ±8 hrs / ±150 km
(Note: Depending on availability, a comparable tour may be arranged with an alternate provider.)

Today’s adventure takes you to the breathtaking Cape Point, one of South Africa’s most iconic coastal landmarks.

After an early morning pickup from your Cape Town accommodation, your journey begins with a drive to Hout Bay, a scenic fishing town where the smell of sea breeze and the call of gulls set the tone for the day. Here, you can choose to join a short boat cruise to Duiker Island, a rocky outcrop that’s home to a large colony of playful Cape fur seals. Prefer to stay on land? You can wander through the bustling harbour market, where local artists and vendors showcase handcrafted items and colourful curios.

Next up is the legendary Chapman’s Peak Drive, affectionately known as Chappies, one of the most beautiful coastal roads in the world. With cliff-hugging bends and jaw-dropping views over the Atlantic, you’ll want to keep your camera at the ready for photo stops.

From there, the tour continues to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, a protected area brimming with fynbos, dramatic sea cliffs, and roaming wildlife like bontebok, baboons, and ostriches. Choose to hike the scenic trails or take the funicular up to the old lighthouse at Cape Point, where you’ll see the special place where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet.

Your final stop of the day is Simon’s Town, a charming naval village, and nearby Boulders Beach, where a colony of tuxedoed African penguins nest and play. You can follow the raised boardwalk for a respectful and close-up view of these endangered birds as they go about their day.

As the sun dips lower, you’ll head back to Cape Town, full of memories and stories to share over dinner.

Overnight Stay: Garden Court Victoria Junction or similar (4-star)

Day 5: Goodbye Cape Town – Final Moments in the City

Unguided – Airport transfer included
Your final day in the Mother City is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Whether you prefer a quiet coffee along the Sea Point Promenade, one last browse through the Greenmarket Square stalls, or picking up souvenirs at the lively V&A Waterfront, Cape Town is just the place for the perfect farewell.
If time allows, we can also assist in booking a last-minute boat cruise or quick winery visit (available at an additional cost).

When it’s time to head to the airport, your included transfer will get you there comfortably and on schedule, leaving you relaxed, inspired, and likely already dreaming about your return to South Africa.
