Sabi Sand Big 5 Game Reserve Sunset Safari

We depart from Hazyview in an air-conditioned closed vehicle at 13:30 pm during the winter months (April to September) and at 14:00 pm during the summer months (October to March).

The transfer to Sabi Sands Game Reserve’s Shaws Gate takes around 50 minutes. During the approximately 30-minute game viewing en route to the beautiful Umkumbe Lodge, we often see a variety of wildlife.

Upon arrival at the lodge, you’ll have time to enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee.

16:00 – Join lodge guests for a 3-hour sunset safari. Please note that vehicles are generally full, and private use cannot be guaranteed.
17:30 – There is a brief stop in the bush for sundowner drinks and snacks. The safari continues by torchlight as we make our way back to the lodge.
19:00 – Return to Umkumbe Lodge.
19:15 – A Boma Buffet Style Dinner awaits, featuring a casual meal of two meats, a variety of vegetables and salads, homemade bread, and pudding.
20:15 to 20:30 – After dinner, we head back to Hazyview for drop-off at your lodge.
