The morning starts early as we pick up guests from lodges in and around Hazyview (up to 5 km around the town).
If you’re travelling from farther out, you can easily join the group at the popular Perry’s Bridge Trading Post & Tourism Centre, or meet your guide directly at Numbi or Phabeni Gate.
Morning drives are considered the best time to travel the park, particularly the southern areas of the Kruger.
During the cool early morning, predators such as lions, leopards, hyenas, and wild dogs are far more active, giving you an excellent chance of spotting these often elusive animals on the move.
After roughly three hours of exploring the park’s early-morning energy, we stop for a breakfast break at a rest camp or picnic spot.
Please be sure to pack sunscreen, sunglasses, good shoes and a hat. Winter travellers should bring along warm clothing while summer travellers should bring a rain jacket.
Around noon we’ll stop for a lunch break before continuing on with the safari until about 16:00 pm, when you will be returned to your lodge or to Perry’ Bridge, after a full day in the park.
