Day 2: Full Day Open Vehicle Safari in Kruger National Park

(Includes Breakfast & Dinner – Lunch at Your Own Expense)

All safaris commence before sunrise, taking advantage of Mpumalanga’s status as the “place of the rising sun” as the first province in South Africa to witness the sunrise. This early part of the day, filled with anticipation, is the best time for wildlife encounters. After a short drive to the park, we enter through its gates, and your guide will have insights into the best areas to spot wildlife, including the Big 5 and plains game. This period offers the best opportunity to see predators in action.

The lodge will arrange breakfast packs, and after approximately 3 hours of safari, your guide will make a stop for breakfast, restroom breaks, and a chance to enjoy coffee. The safari will continue, exploring Kruger’s diverse ecological zones, each with its unique range of wildlife. We will visit rivers, watering holes, plains, and Bushveld regions.

Lunch will be at a rest camp, offering a variety of dishes and an opportunity for curio shopping or enjoying a cold beverage. After lunch, the guide will continue the safari towards the lodge, aiming for arrival around 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm. This provides time for relaxation, swimming, and a delightful dinner after an exhilarating day on safari.

Day 3: Full Day Open Vehicle Safari in Kruger National Park

(Includes Breakfast & Dinner – Lunch at Your Own Expense)

Today, we depart from the lodge before sunrise, once again experiencing the thrill of the early morning safari. After entering the park, your guide will determine the best areas to spot the finest wildlife, including the Big 5 and plains game. The dawn hours are particularly ideal for predator sightings, and every safari day is unique.

The lodge will arrange breakfast packs, and after about 3 hours of safari, there will be a breakfast and restroom stop with the opportunity for coffee. We will continue exploring Kruger’s various ecological zones, including rivers, watering holes, plains, and Bushveld regions. The vastness of Kruger means that guides can cover different areas of the park each day.

Lunch will be at a different rest camp, offering various dining options and a chance for shopping or enjoying a cold beer. The safari will then proceed towards the lodge, with an anticipated arrival time of around 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Guests can relax, swim, and enjoy dinner at the lodge after another exciting day on safari.

Day 4: Last Morning Safari and Transfer Back to Johannesburg

(Includes Breakfast, Lunch at Your Own Expense)

We will embark on our final safari from the lodge before sunrise, with a focus on finding animals that may not have been spotted during the previous safaris. Early mornings are an ideal time to encounter active lions and leopards. The Kruger National Park boasts 148 mammal species and over 500 bird species, and your guide will strive to help you see as many as possible.

After a brief breakfast and coffee break, the safari will continue, returning to the lodge at around 12 pm. Here, guests will bid farewell to their guide and freshen up before beginning the journey back to Johannesburg.

The shuttle will collect clients at approximately 12:30 pm, and we will return to Johannesburg OR Tambo shuttle terminal and lodges located within a 5 km radius. The expected arrival time is between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm.

Note: Clients with flights from OR Tambo International on the last day should not schedule their flights earlier than 8:00 pm for domestic flights and 9:00 pm for international flights.
