Accommodation

Morning: Commence your journey with a transfer from Johannesburg to Hazyview.
Midday: Arrive at your comfortable accommodation, enjoy a light lunch at the Lodge, and indulge in a refreshing swim or relaxation before embarking on the evening safari.
Late Afternoon: Set off for Kruger Park on a private concession and relish your inaugural night safari, complete with sundown drinks.
Evening: Return to the lodge for a delightful dinner.

Early Morning: Savor coffee and tea, then embark on a full-day safari. Guides will pause for a breakfast break at one of Kruger’s rest camps around 9 am before continuing the adventure.
Midday: The guide will stop for lunch at a Kruger rest camp, allowing you to enjoy some curio shopping and a delicious meal before resuming your safari towards the lodge.
Late Afternoon: Arrive back at the lodge and choose to unwind with a swim, a leisurely walk, or take advantage of the air-conditioned rooms and Wi-Fi. Alternatively, sip a cocktail by the pool.
Evening: Dinner is served at 18:30, offering you the opportunity to savor a glass of wine paired with Traditional African dishes.

Early Morning: Commence the day with a hearty English breakfast at the lodge before departing for the Northern Drakensberg Mountains. Your journey will include visits to God’s Window, Blyde River Canyon, Lisbon Waterfalls, and Bourke’s Luck Potholes.
Midday: The guide will make a lunch stop in Graskop, a charming Highveld town, where you can enjoy curio shopping and a delicious meal before continuing your journey back to Hazyview.
Late Afternoon: Return to the lodge and opt for a swim, leisurely walk, or relaxation in the air-conditioned rooms with Wi-Fi. Alternatively, unwind with a poolside cocktail.
Evening: Dinner awaits at 18:30, offering the perfect opportunity to savor a glass of wine alongside Traditional African cuisine.

Early Morning: Begin your day with coffee and tea, followed by a morning safari. Guides will pause for breakfast at one of Kruger’s rest camps around 9 am before resuming the safari journey back to the lodge.
Midday: The guide will return to the lodge at around 11:30 AM. Here, you will meet the transfer vehicle for your journey back to Johannesburg.
Late Afternoon: Conclude your adventure with a drop-off at OR Tambo International Airport or your chosen local lodges.

Both lodges provide quality accommodation and are conveniently located within 15 minutes of either Numbi or Phabeni gates. 06:30 AM – 06:45 AM: Clients will be collected from lodges within a 5 km radius of OR Tambo International Airport.
06:45 AM – 07:00 AM: Clients will be collected from the Shuttle and Bus Terminal at OR Tambo International Airport. Please refer to the map below for details, with departure scheduled for 7:15 AM.

For hassle-free transportation to the airport, consider utilizing the modern Gautrain or Uber services.

Airport Pickup Options

Clients have the option to fly directly into Skukuza Kruger National Park or Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. Kurt Safari provides complimentary pickup by your guide.

Day 1: Johannesburg to Hazyview and Sunset/Night Safari

(Includes Lunch & Dinner)

6:30 AM – 6:45 AM: Guests will be picked up from lodges and hotels within a 5 km radius of OR Tambo International Airport.
6:45 AM – 7:00 AM: Pickups will also be made from the OR Tambo International Airport shuttle and bus terminal, with departure scheduled for 7:15 AM.
Clients have the option to fly directly into Skukuza Kruger National Park or Kruger Mpumalanga International Airports, where our Kurt Safari Guide will collect them at no extra charge. Please confirm your pickup details by emailing online@kurtsafari.com the day before the tour. Note that these are shared departures.

We’ll travel directly to our lodge in Hazyview, arriving between 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM. Guests can then relax, unpack, and enjoy a light lunch. Following that, take a swim or a stroll around the picturesque Lodge and its walking trails.

In the late afternoon, at around 15:45 PM, we embark on a Sunset/Night safari in Kruger National Park. The winter months provide longer night safaris, while in summer, you’ll witness breathtaking sunsets during your safari. We return to the lodge around 20:00 PM for a delightful dinner, ensuring a restful night before your full-day safari in Kruger National Park.

Day 2: Full Day Open Vehicle Safari in Kruger National Park

(Includes Breakfast & Dinner – Lunch at Own Expense)

All safaris commence before sunrise, making the most of Mpumalanga’s title as the “place of the rising sun.” As the first province in South Africa to greet the day, this is a prime time for wildlife sightings, including the Big 5 and plains game.

Our guide will provide breakfast packs, and after approximately 3 hours of safari, we’ll stop for breakfast, a bathroom break, and a coffee. The safari continues, exploring Kruger’s diverse eco-zones, including rivers, watering holes, plains, and Bushveld regions.

Lunch will be at a rest camp and is at your own expense. Take this opportunity to do some curio shopping or savor a cold beer. The guide will then lead the safari back toward the lodge, arriving around 15:30 – 16:00 PM. Here, you can relax, swim, and enjoy a delightful dinner.

4 Day Private Kruger Park Safari Tour and Panorama

Day 3: Full Day Panorama Tour

(Includes Breakfast & Dinner – Lunch at Own Expense)

Explore the wonders of the Panorama Route, including God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Blyde River Canyon (the world’s 3rd largest canyon), Lisbon Waterfall, the 3 Rondavels, and the town of Graskop.

Start your day with a delicious hot breakfast at the lodge at 7:30 AM, and your guide will meet you at 8 AM in an air-conditioned vehicle. The Panorama route, a 45-minute drive from Hazyview, leads to the Northern Drakensberg Mountain range. Be prepared for temperature variations, so bring a jacket and comfortable walking shoes.

Highlights of the tour include God’s Window, offering stunning panoramic views; Bourke’s Luck Potholes, a natural marvel carved by water erosion; Blyde River Canyon, the world’s 3rd largest canyon; and the 3 Rondavels, striking rock formations. You’ll also visit Lisbon Falls and enjoy a delightful lunch (at your own expense) in the charming town of Graskop.

Return to the Lodge at about 4 PM, where you can unwind with a drink, a swim, and a sumptuous dinner before an early start for your final morning safari in Kruger.

Day 4: Morning Safari and Return to Johannesburg

(Includes Breakfast – Lunch at Own Expense)

We depart from the lodge early, before sunrise, to maximize the chances of spotting lion and leopard, which are most active in the early mornings. The Kruger National Park boasts 148 mammal species and over 500 bird species, making every safari unique.

After a brief breakfast and coffee stop, the safari continues, returning to the lodge around 12 PM. Here, you bid farewell to your guide and freshen up before the journey back to Johannesburg.

Clients are collected by the shuttle at around 12:30 PM, and we return to Johannesburg OR Tambo shuttle terminal and lodges within a 5 km radius, arriving between 17:00 – 18:00 PM.

Please note: Clients departing from OR Tambo International on the last day should not book flights earlier than 20:00 PM for Domestic and 21:00 PM for International flights.
