- Late Afternoon: Depart for Kruger Park on a private concession for your first night safari, complete with sundown drinks.
- Evening: Return to the lodge for a delightful dinner.
- Early Morning: Start your day with coffee and tea before embarking on a full day safari. Your experienced guides will pause for breakfast at one of Kruger’s rest camps around 9 am.
- Midday: Enjoy lunch at a Kruger rest camp, with an opportunity for curio shopping and a relaxing meal.
- Late Afternoon: Return to the lodge for leisure activities, including swimming, walks, or relaxation in air-conditioned rooms with Wi-Fi. You can also sip a cocktail by the pool.

- Early Morning: Coffee and tea are served before departing for a morning safari. Breakfast awaits at one of Kruger’s rest camps around 9 am.
- Midday: Return to the lodge at around 11:30 AM for a light lunch. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure, giving you a well-deserved break after early mornings and safaris.
- Late Afternoon: Spend the afternoon as you please.
- Evening: Dinner is served at 18:30, accompanied by a glass of wine and Traditional African flavors.
- Early Morning: Start the day with coffee and tea, then depart for a morning safari. Breakfast will be at one of Kruger’s rest camps around 9 am.
- Midday: The guide will return to the lodge around 11:30 AM. Here, you’ll meet the transfer vehicle for your journey back to Johannesburg.
- Late Afternoon: Arrive at OR Tambo International Airport or your selected local lodges.

Day 1: Arrival and Sunset Safari

- Guests will be collected between 6:30 AM and 6:45 AM from lodges and hotels within a 5 km radius of OR Tambo International Airport. For added convenience, pickups are also available at the OR Tambo International Airport shuttle and bus terminal between 6:45 AM and 7:00 AM. Departure is scheduled for 7:15 AM.
- Clients can opt for direct flights into Skukuza Kruger National Park or Kruger Mpumalanga International Airports, where they will be greeted by a Kurt Safari Guide at no extra cost.
- Prior to the tour, please confirm your pickup details at online@kurtsafari.com. Please note that these are shared departures. The journey will take you directly to our lodge in Hazyview, arriving between 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM.
- After settling in, enjoy a relaxing light lunch, followed by the opportunity to swim or take a leisurely walk around the beautiful lodge and its scenic trails.
- Depart for a Sunset-Night safari in Kruger National Park, where the magical golden hour enhances wildlife sightings. In winter, the night drives are longer, while summer offers stunning sunsets. Your guide will strive to provide you with the best wildlife encounters before returning to the lodge around 8:00 PM for a delightful dinner.
Day 2: Full Day Open Vehicle Safari
(Breakfast & Dinner included; lunch at your own expense)
- Start your day before sunrise as you venture into Kruger National Park, the place where the sun rises in Mpumalanga. This is the prime time for wildlife sightings, especially predators.
- The lodge will provide breakfast packs, and your guide will pause for a breakfast break and coffee after about 3 hours of exploration. Your safari will cover various eco-zones, including rivers, watering holes, plains, and Bushveld regions.
- Lunch will be enjoyed at a rest camp at your own expense, offering a chance for curio shopping or a refreshing cold beer. Your guide will continue the safari towards the lodge, arriving around 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM. Here, you can relax, swim, and savor a delicious dinner.
Day 3: Panorama Route Exploration
(Breakfast & Dinner included; lunch on your own)
- Embark on a full-day Panorama tour, featuring iconic attractions such as God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Blyde River Canyon (the world’s 3rd largest canyon), Lisbon Waterfall, the 3 Rondavels, and the charming town of Graskop.
- Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the lodge at 7:30 AM. Your guide will meet you at 8:00 AM in a closed air-conditioned vehicle. The Panorama Route starts after a 45-minute drive from Hazyview, leading to the Northern Drakensberg Mountain range.
- The varied temperatures along this route call for comfortable walking shoes and a jacket. Explore God’s Window, with stunning views as far as Kruger on a clear day. Bourke’s Luck Potholes, formed by centuries of water erosion, offers captivating carvings and holes. Enjoy a 1-hour walk amidst waterfalls.
- Blyde River Canyon, the 3rd largest canyon globally, boasts a 40 km length and 1,200 m depth, with the 3 Rondavels standing prominently. Your guide will also take you to Lisbon Falls.
- Lunch and curio shopping will be in Graskop, famous for its pancakes, allowing time for a leisurely stroll. Return to the lodge around 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
- After a great day, unwind with a drink, swim, and dinner at the lodge, preparing for an exciting morning safari in Kruger.
Day 4: Morning Safari and Leisure
(Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner included)
- Depart before sunrise for another morning safari, focusing on animals and areas yet to be explored. Kruger National Park’s diverse wildlife ensures no two safaris are the same.
- Return to the lodge around 11:00 AM. Enjoy an afternoon of leisure with options to swim, take scenic walks, sample local beers, or simply bask in the African weather. A light lunch and delectable dinner will be served at the lodge.
Day 5: Final Safari and Departure
(Breakfast included; lunch at your own expense)
- Your last safari in Kruger National Park begins early, providing a chance to savor the wilderness and perhaps spot the elusive leopard. Your experienced guides will go the extra mile to make this safari unforgettable.
- After a short breakfast and coffee break, continue the safari, returning to the lodge by around 12:00 PM. Bid farewell to your guide and freshen up before the journey back to Johannesburg.
- The shuttle will collect clients at approximately 12:30 PM, with arrivals at Johannesburg OR Tambo shuttle terminal and lodges within a 5 km radius expected between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
- Please note: Clients departing from OR Tambo International Airport on the last day should avoid booking flights earlier than 8:00 PM for domestic and 9:00 PM for international flights.
