Clients are picked up early in the morning from various lodges located in or within a 5km radius of Hazyview. For those traveling from further away or not staying in the area, they can join the safari vehicle at Perry’s Bridge Trading Post & Tourism Centre, or meet at either Numbi or Phabeni Gate.

Morning safaris are an excellent opportunity to spot predators such as lions, leopards, wild dogs, cheetahs, and hyenas.

These morning safaris last for approximately three hours, followed by a breakfast break.

What to expect

The best morning safaris begin well before the sun heats up the African landscape. At this early hour, animals are most active, allowing you to witness their first activities of the day before they retreat to the shade as the day grows hotter. Some of the best wildlife sightings of predators, their prey, and sleepy plains game occur during these early hours, making morning safaris particularly popular.

Our morning safari lasts approximately three hours before we pause for breakfast. After enjoying breakfast or a light snack, the tour continues as we visit waterholes to observe animals quenching their thirst before facing the heat of the day.

We will stop at a picnic spot or rest camp in the morning for breakfast and restroom breaks. Please bring high-quality sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, comfortable shoes, warm clothing for winter months, and a rain jacket for summer months. Mineral water is included on all safaris.
