Day 1: Transfer from Johannesburg & Private Sunset / Night Safari (Lunch & Dinner)

Your safari adventure begins with convenience and excitement. We’ll collect you from various lodges and hotels within a 5 km radius of the OR Tambo International Airport at 7 am, ensuring a smooth start to your journey. For those flying into Johannesburg, please aim to arrive no later than 9 am, as our Night safaris depart at the latest by 4:30 pm.

If your arrival point is Skukuza Kruger National Park or Kruger Mpumalanga International Airports, worry not, as our Kurt Safari Guide will be there to collect you at no additional cost.

To ensure a seamless experience, kindly confirm your pickup details with online@kurtsafari.com the day before your tour. We’ll then embark on our journey directly to our lodge in Hazyview, arriving between 11:30 am – 12:00 pm.

Upon arrival, you’ll have time to relax, unpack, and enjoy a light lunch. Afterward, you can take a refreshing swim or embark on a leisurely walk around the beautiful Lodge and its scenic walking trail. As the clock approaches 15:45 pm, we’ll set off for an unforgettable Sunset / Night safari in the Kruger National Park. Experience the magic of wildlife during the golden hour as temperatures drop, and animals become more active. We’ll return to the lodge at approximately 20:00 pm for a delightful dinner and a well-deserved rest.

Day 2: Private Full Day Open Vehicle Safari in the Kruger National Park (Breakfast & Dinner)

Prepare for an early start as we kick off another thrilling day before sunrise. Mpumalanga, meaning the place of the rising sun, is the ideal location to witness the beauty of a new day in the wild. After a short drive to the park, we’ll enter the park gates, and your experienced guide will have insights into the best areas to spot wildlife, including the Big 5 and plains game. This early morning adventure is prime time for predator sightings.

The Lodge will provide breakfast packs, and your guide will make a stop after about 3 hours for a hearty breakfast, bathroom break, and the chance to grab a coffee. Our safari continues, taking you through the diverse ecosystems of Kruger, from rivers and watering holes to plains and Bushveld regions.

Lunchtime will find us at a rest camp, where you can enjoy a meal on your own account, indulge in some curio shopping, or savor a cold beer. Your guide will then lead you on the safari back towards the lodge, arriving around 15:30 – 16:00 pm. You’ll have time to unwind, take a dip in the pool, and savor a delicious dinner.

Day 3: Private Morning Safari and Private Transfer Back to Johannesburg (Breakfast)

On your final safari morning, we’ll depart from the lodge before sunrise, embarking on a quest to spot animals that may have eluded us on the previous safaris. Lions and leopards are most active in the early hours, and with 148 mammal species and over 500 bird species in the Kruger National Park, there’s always something captivating to see and photograph.

After a short breakfast and coffee break, our safari continues, with the goal of returning to the lodge around 11 am. Here, you bid farewell to your guide and freshen up before the journey back to Johannesburg. The shuttle will collect you at around 11:30 am, ensuring you arrive back in Johannesburg at the OR Tambo shuttle terminal or lodges within a 5 km radius between 17:00 – 18:00 pm.

Note: Clients flying out of OR Tambo on the last day should avoid booking flights earlier than 19:00 pm for Domestic and 20:00 pm for International flights.
