We head straight to the lodge in Hazyview, reaching it between 11:30 AM and noon.
Once checked in, you can settle into your room, enjoy a light lunch, and ease into the day.
A dip in the pool, a wander along one of the lodge’s leafy walking paths, or a nap, are all perfect ways to rest after the transfer so that you are ready for the evening’s safari.
At about 15:45 pm the real excitement begins with a late afternoon game drive inside the Kruger National Park. W
If you are travelling in winter, you’ll enjoy extended night time hours in the park, while summer will treat you to dramatic thunder clouds and the most beautiful sunsets.
You’ll return to the lodge around 20:00 pm for dinner and a relaxing night’s rest.

The smell of an early morning brewed coffee and the sound of birds will greet you this morning, as we are up before dawn, making our way to the Kruger just as the sky begins to lighten. Early mornings are the best time for a safari as the wildlife is most active during the dawn hours.
Your guide will look for fresh animal tracks and they’ll use their experience and instincts to choose the best routes to take, as you make your way through the wildlife abundant Southern Kruger.
After about 3 hours, we’ll stop for breakfast (the lodge will supply a prepared breakfast pack).
The break will be short and the safari will continue, as we explore the Kruger’s numerous eco-zones, which include rivers, watering holes, plains, and Bushveld regions.
Lunch will be at a rest camp and is at your own expense. While in the camp, you can take this opportunity to do some curio shopping or savour a cold beer.
The guide will then lead the safari back toward the lodge, arriving around 15:30 – 16:00 pm where there’s time to relax and go for a swim before enjoying a delightful dinner.

Today, you’ll be exploring the wild wonders of Mpumalang’s famous Panorama Route.
The day starts a little later than the previous days. There’s time for a delicious hot breakfast at the lodge at 7:30 am, after which your guide will meet you at 8:00 am in an air-conditioned vehicle. The Panorama Route, a 45-minute drive from Hazyview, leads up into the Northern Drakensberg Mountain range. You’ll need to be prepared for temperature variations, and we advise bringing along a jacket and comfortable walking shoes.
Some of the attractions we’ll be visiting include God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Blyde River Canyon (the world’s 3rd largest canyon), Lisbon Waterfall, the 3 Rondavels, and the eclectic town of Graskop, where we’ll be stopping for lunch (on your own account).
You’ll return to the Lodge at about 16:00 pm, where you can unwind with a drink, a swim, and a sumptuous dinner before an early start for your final morning safari in Kruger.

We’ll leave the lodge early, well before the sun is up, on our last morning safari. We’ll drive new routes to try to find animals you have not seen yet and the early morning hours give us the opportunity to see predators, like leopards.
After a brief breakfast and coffee stop, the safari continues, returning to the lodge around 12:00 pm. You’ll have time to say good bye to your guide and freshen up before the journey back to Johannesburg.
The shuttle will collect you at around 12:30 pm, and we’ll arrive in Johannesburg at the OR Tambo shuttle terminal and lodges within a 5 km radius between 17:00 and 18:00 pm.
