Your day begins just before sunrise with an early morning safari, entering the park at dawn. The afternoon safari departs at around 3:00 pm, with each journey exploring different areas of the park. This approach enhances your chances of spotting wildlife you may not have encountered yet and provides a relaxed, immersive Kruger experience.
The southern region of Kruger is lush and vibrant due to its higher rainfall, featuring rivers and dams that attract abundant wildlife. This area is particularly known for excellent leopard and rhino sightings and is also a prime spot to see wild dogs and elephants.
(Breakfast & Dinner Included – Lunch at Own Expense)
The day begins before sunrise as we leave the rest camp and head north to explore the central region of Kruger National Park on a full-day safari. This extended drive offers the chance to cover a significant portion of the park while searching for wildlife along the way.
The central region features open grassy savannahs, a striking contrast to the southern region’s denser vegetation. These plains support large populations of zebras, buffalo, and giraffes, which in turn attract a higher concentration of lions.
We’ll stop at a designated rest area for lunch (at your own expense). Upon arriving at your new rest camp, where you’ll stay for the next two nights, there may be time for a short afternoon safari before the camp gates close, depending on our arrival time.
In this region, keep an eye out for cheetahs, lions, and buffalo, along with other fascinating wildlife unique to this area.
