We begin our journey by collecting you from Hazyview lodges or the Perry’s Bridge Trading Post and Tourism Centre if you are staying out of town. From there, we head to the Kruger National Park in pursuit of thrilling wildlife encounters.
While wildlife often seeks shelter from the midday heat, our afternoon safari offers a distinct advantage. Our knowledgeable guides are equipped with information about earlier sightings and their locations, enabling us to track and witness the most exciting wildlife encounters up close. During this time, watering holes become popular gathering spots as animals seek respite from the heat. There’s nothing quite like watching elephants playfully splashing in a river.
Our experienced guides are dedicated to making your safari a memorable experience. They will regale you with fascinating facts about the park’s diverse wildlife, birds, and lush vegetation. If you have an interest in plant life and ancient trees, our guides will share insights about the various plant species that inhabit different areas of the Kruger National Park, each attracting its unique array of animals.
As the day progresses and the park’s closing time approaches, the chances of wildlife sightings increase significantly. With the diminishing heat, animals become more active, making for remarkable observations. To maximize your game viewing opportunities, consider embarking on a morning safari the next day as well, as it is widely regarded as the best time for wildlife encounters.
To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable safari experience, please remember to bring essential items, including sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, comfortable shoes, warm clothing for winter months, and a rain jacket for summer showers. Complimentary mineral water is provided to keep you refreshed throughout the adventure.
During your safari, your guide will make brief stops for restroom breaks, offering you the chance to enjoy a refreshing drink or engage in quick curio shopping. These stops are short and designed to complement your safari experience.
As the day comes to a close, your guide will ensure that you exit the park just before gate closing times. You will then be comfortably returned to your lodge, where you can relax and reflect on the incredible experiences of your afternoon safari.
