Day 1: Arrival in Cape Town – Warm Welcome & African-Inspired Dining

Travel Time: ±1 hr / ±30 km | Unguided

Welcome to Cape Town, South Africa’s Mother City!

After landing at Cape Town International Airport, a transfer will take you directly to your hotel, where you’ll settle in for the next few nights.

The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace. You can spend it unwinding or exploring; there are plenty of ways to begin your Cape Town adventure.

We recommend taking a stroll down Bree or Long Street to taste the local culinary culture, or take a quick ride to Camps Bay to sip cocktails with a view. For an unforgettable sunset, you can head to The Twelve Apostles Hotel and enjoy a drink at the Leopard Bar.

Feeling adventurous? You can take part in one of the tours’ optional activities like paragliding, a helicopter flight, or a city sightseeing bus ride, any of which can be arranged in advance. Just let us know your preferences before you arrive, keeping in mind that all transfers for these experiences will be at your own cost.

In the evening, you’ll be treated to a scrumptious cultural experience at GOLD Restaurant, where you’ll indulge in a delectable 14-dish African feast accompanied by live storytelling, traditional music, and interactive performances.

Overnight Stay: Garden Court Victoria Junction or equivalent (4-star)

Day 2: Discover Cape Town & Table Mountain

Unguided, with hop-on-hop-off bus & cableway ticket included

You’ll have another full day of exploring, this time using your included open-top bus pass and Table Mountain cableway ticket.

Start your day on the iconic red double-decker bus, passing through colourful neighbourhoods and coastal areas with unbeatable views.

You can choose your own route; the blue line takes you to Kirstenbosch Gardens, while the purple line leads to wine tasting in Constantia. The red line loops through Camps Bay and heads to Table Mountain.

Weather permitting, the cable car ride to the summit of Table Mountain is a must-do. Once at the top, you can take a slow walk along one of the trails, grab a bite to eat, and just sit back and take in the panoramic views. If you’re lucky, your guide on the cable car descent might even treat you to a spontaneous serenade.

After sunset, Cape Town’s dynamic food scene awaits and you can treat your palate to all sorts of treats, from trendy small-plate spots to authentic African fine dining.

Overnight Stay: Garden Court Victoria Junction or equivalent (4-star)

Day 3: Cape Point Discovery – Full-Day Guided Tour

Travel Time: ±8 hrs / ±150 km
(Subject to availability – a similar experience may be booked with another provider.)

Today, you’ll be having a scenic guided tour to the Cape Peninsula.

After pickup, your first stop is the charming harbour town of Hout Bay. Here, you can opt for a boat trip to Duiker Island to see playful Cape fur seals or spend time browsing local markets.

Next, drive along Chapman’s Peak Drive – affectionately known as “Chappies” – a breathtaking cliffside road with some of the best coastal views in the world.

Then it’s off to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Walk to the historic lighthouse, spot wildlife like ostriches and antelopes, and enjoy the unique fynbos vegetation that can only be found growing in this protected area.

Your final visit of the day is Boulders Beach in Simon’s Town, home to a colony of the cutest African penguins. You can wander along the wooden boardwalks for an up-close but respectful look at these fascinating birds.

You’ll return to Cape Town in the late afternoon.

Overnight Stay: Garden Court Victoria Junction or equivalent (4-star)

Day 4: Last Day in Cape Town – Final Free Time

Travel Time: Variable | Unguided

On your final day in Cape Town, you will be free to do whatever you choose. This is your chance to revisit a favourite spot or check something new off your list.

You might want to explore the artisan stalls at Greenmarket Square, walk the scenic Sea Point Promenade, or do some last-minute shopping at the V&A Waterfront.

Your airport transfer will pick you up in time for your departure. To make the most of your last day, it’s best to schedule your outbound flight for later in the evening.
